UniSA Magill Samsung SMARTSchool - My experience with Harrold & Kite in a Managing Contractor capacity has always been positive, they have consistently delivered on time, cost and quality. The Samsung SMARTSchool project had an incredibly tight time frame and Harrold & Kite contributed innovative solutions to combine the modular construction with an in-situ build, to enable the architectural aesthetic to be realised. Harrold & Kite’s dedicated team of contractors worked right through the Christmas break in order to meet the deadline, continually value adding and working with the Architectural Team to solve complex details. Throughout the project Harrold & Kite mentored a UniSA Construction student and they safely facilitated staff and a primary school group to visit the site. They also maintained a perfect safety record, despite the number of contractors on the site, focussed on finishing the project. Harrold and Kite team have displayed strong leadership in the project management and construction of the new innovative Head Office and Residential Aged Care Facility at Prospect. Undertaking a major redevelopment where residents remain onsite is a challenge. The Prospect redevelopment was completed with significant praise from residents, families and staff, as Harrold and Kite acknowledged the importance of respecting that this was the residents’ home, and they were always aware of the proposed works. The close working relationship fostered by the team contributed to the timely and on budget completion of the redevelopment. The Ukaria Cultural Centre is a unique and beautiful building.
